Sword Widget

Use the sword widget to quickly implement the uploading up repository items through SWORD.

“The SWORD project aims to improve the efficiency and quality of repository deposit and to diversity and expedite the options for timely population of repositories with content whilst promoting a common deposit interface and supporting the Information Environment principles of interoperability. ”

This widget allows for the upload of a repository item and handles any collection within a SWORD implementation. A username, password and a working SWORD address is required. You can also submit deposits “on behalf of” another user. Outputs the summary of the deposit and links to edit/ view the deposit.

A good knowledge of how SWORD works is preferable.

SERVICE DOCUMENT: This is the location of the XML file which describes the implementation of the SWORD Server. A Sword administrator should be able to tell users where this is.

USERNAME/PASSWORD: The reuqired field to connect to the service.

ON BEHALF OF: The name to upload the the documents for.
